If my roommates and I tried to start a holiday where you put lawn gnomes holding doll heads filled with flowers on multiple random peoples' lawns in the middle of the night, would you all be down with doing the same where you live on the same night?

Alright, as a followup question:

Any idea how best to craft a gnome mold? We don't think we can quite afford buying a dozen random gnomes, but a few bags of cement would be within budget.

googling a gnome mold ended with just gnomes.

I think I only paid like $5 for the one hidden in that pic above from a place that had a mold and was able to crank them out.

If you wanted to make a mold, I'd try to make a latex one. Or w/e that stuf a lot of cooking things have been made out of in the past few years (the rubbery plastic stuff that can get hot w/o melting...) I can never remember what that stuff is called.

It would be pretty easy to make a mold. Just buy one gnome first, and cast it. Plaster of Paris might work.

Would that stuff allow for making gnomes out of cement?

imo no. Plaster of Paris would not get strong enough. Now using PoP to make the gnomes, yes.

Let me dig around and see if I can find a modeling mag I have. I should be able to find the goods you would want.

I'm having zero luck finding any of the magazines.
They would have told me name brands to shop for :p

If I were to want to make a mold of a Gnome (Like the one I own, his name is Rodney Smiley: lol) I would go for making a Silicone mold of him.
Silicone, last time i checked (years ago), was not cheap.

Really, if you're going to do this, you should set up massive fields of battle, with partially destroyed injured and dead gnomes.
