It seems that someone bought a $10,000 ticket at the store where I buy my $4 a week of fantasizing about not having to go to work anymore. Thankfully, I don't think I've taken out my clutter bin since I last cleaned off several months worth of tickets from my desk.

It's not enough here either, but it would pretty much pay off my student loans(or at worst put me within a month or two of paying em off), thus ending a $180/paycheck drain on my finances.

Yea, winning the lottery would be pretty much the best thing ever. Even $10k would let me pay off stuff and give me some savings...

Seems like student loan hell continues. Even if I was the winner, I no longer have that ticket. Not too concerned that I might be, though, since I always check em and would have at least thought I had won $3. But aside from some used q-tips, the trash really had nothing in it all that gross, so it wasn't too bad.

Mine would be higher, but they're limited in how much they can garnish. And I couldn't pay what they wanted, so they were forced to go that route.

Well, found out finally why the amount they're taking is more than expected. Despite numerous letters stating otherwise, they're jacking a quarter of my post-tax income(I know, I really don't make that much). The letters they sent and the girl I talked to at the collection agency all said it's supposed to be 15%.

I've discovered what's going on and it's far too stupid for me to post here. No, really, corporate policy regarding any form of social networking media prohibits me from talking bad about my employer.

Let's just say that I'm never gonna ask anyone from our payroll department to help me fill out my taxes.

On a good note, this should net me $67 more on my paychecks, taking me out of "My god I can't afford anything!" mode.

Mission complete. 15% instead of 25% starting next payday. Smiley: yippee

And if my supervisor is correct, we may have gotten our CoLA starting this next paycheck. $0.31/hr more. Smiley: yippeex8
