The easier programming jobs pay better!

I've found as a general rule that out of any two jobs in the same sector, requiring roughly equivalent qualifications, the easier job will pay more money
for instance - I am the main person responsible for developing communication materials on 3
broad policy areas as well as having to back up on almost every file (well, every file, in a pinch)
I write editorials (published under other people's names) - and create quotes that get used in newspapers. I regularly cold call news desks, pitch stories, and help manage difficult questions.
A friend of mine who used to work here is now working for more money with less stress in a job with fewer responsibilities. She is hiring someone to do "social media" (which is also something I have to do >.<) - the job pays more than I get now, while the person only has to be knowledgeable about 1 topic and use social media...
That said, I'd be bored at the second job... even though I'd make more money while being bored.
