What are your New Year resolutions, if any?

I want to be more active socially. As in, try not to be such a recluse.

Under 300 by age 30 by way of losing 3-5lbs per month(If I keep on that track, I'll hit that point around October at worst). As per a recent Cracked.com article, I'm trying to set a concrete, measured goal within a reasonable range and break it into increments that will allow me to celebrate each and every victory.

Better than "Lose Weight", at least.

My new years resolutions are:

1: Post Moar.
2: Work Moar (Buying a new car in February most likely so I kind of want to pay it off as quick as I can.)
3: Relearn the Alto Sax.
4: To gyp Mike out of something, so that I can say I gypped a gypsy.
5: To determine whether a ginger gypsy gets their gypsy curse in place of their soul, even though they are ginger and never had a soul in the first place.

I'm trying to drop ~55 lbs over the next year. I might be starting 2012 as a massive fatty, but I really don't want to end it that way.

I'm doing a lot better about eating healthy, I now just need to start being physically active.

Currently @207lbs, not sure what I'm aiming for, but I know I definitely want to lose the belly and (now slight) man boobs Smiley: lol

I read that as auto sex, and as a married person thought it was a great idea. Upon re-reading it, as a former sax "player" I now envision a bunch of spit being blown out the vent on your most favorite people and lots of wet reeds.

Oh, and lose weight folks... If you've got the money and the room... We got this (because my knees are blown) http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-Variable-Stride-Elliptical-Trainer/dp/B001AS696K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325462368&sr=8-1 and I LOVE it! the stride bit is great because I can't really do treadmills but I hate normal gym elipticals because they lock your stride. If you go slow on this it's also a stair stepper. The LCD part blows and I think the MPH is off a bit, but the workout without joint pain and the space it fits in? Priceless.

Since I started my new job this past June, we had a six month probation period where we couldn't use our vacation. I was able to carry over 59 hours of vacation that I need to use prior to 06/01/2012 or else I lose it since I don't have the option to bank it until five years. I pick up my new car tomorrow so I will likely be taking a week off for a road trip TBD as of yet.

I also start my new job (same employer, different position due to restructuring due to federal guidelines) at some point so kind of hyped about that since I won't have to interact with the public anymore and will be able to listen music the entire day while judging the quality of others' work. Smiley: grin

I have been stretching a lot the last week and am planning on incorporating some type of active aerobic exercise into my daily routine. Probably taking up disc golf again once it warms up a bit since I previously lost so much weight playing years ago and regular walking is a @#%^ing bore, chore, and snore.

Adopt a kid and then use them as slave labor to mow lawns until you have enough and then return them to the adoption agency? Or Maybe hook up a generator and make said adopted kid provide you with electricity... :p

6: Never take another shower at work. Some idiot ripped off a low pressure hose while it was being pumped through and got me covered in random batch of oil, water, and chemicals #642. First visit to the olde chem shower.

This ^

My goal is to do some cardio type exercize and weight training at least once a week, and hopefully twice a week so that I can dance better and longer and more happily.

Side effects:

-should hopefully make bike camping next summer easier.
-prepping myself for [leveling up my] non-car transport [skills and endurance checks for use] during the zombie apocalypse

I think I may just need to treat my real life like an rpg

-time to improve my endurance stat! Exercise, or I have to drop loot during dungeons because I am too tired to carry it
-I need to level up my french skills in order to get to the boss fight [job interview]
