It's not nearly as good looking as say, The Witcher 2 or Battlefield 3 but it still looks decent. Certainly nowhere near bad enough to shelve it or ruin my enjoyment.
I'm sorry, but for the price of admission I expected better. Maybe I'm being "nostalgic" but I thought Fallout looked better and it's the same engine no? Any way, it's not the graphics that are going to hold me back. I could push through as is, it's mostly the interface. I've heard it's loads better with a controller, but unfortunately the game will only let you use a 360 controller. I know I could DL one of those 360 ghosting apps that tricks the game into thinking my logitech is a 360, but I can't be bothered.
As I said, I'm think I'm going to wait until the modding community hits the game full force. Then on my FIRST playthrough I can play comfortably with KB and Mouse in a HD environment. FWIW I really love how they used alot of the environmental effects (mists, fogs, and such rolling off leaves), I just wish the environment was a touch better. From my experience and what I've read, it also seems to be mostly bug free so that's a great plus especially where Bethesda is concerned.
