I'm a medical student. I follow resident physicians around and learn stuff and do procedures and scrub in on surgeries and sometimes take call and stuff. Just got back from the ER helping out with a couple of traumas.

They say playing video games makes one a better surgeon.

I think you know what you must do.

LET'S BEGIN THE OPERATION. I WILL SAVE THIS PATIENT.

I indirectly saved lives by calming down a couple of angry patients who were ready to storm out. So that's something I guess?

I wear scrubs pretty much every day. I scrub in for surgeries whenever I can.

I meant the sitcom. Are you season 1 equivalent?

Oh lol. I don't remember where they were season 1, but probably.

Interns of a sort, I think. Gave care directly, but were supervised.

Ah. Interns are first year residents, and that sounds accurate. They have the ability to write orders and give drugs, but have to run everything by the attending physician. And do all the ***** work. I'm not quite there yet, I have no real responsibility.

Hey, how do you feel about chiro and eastern medicines?
#21 Oct 01 2011 at 10:17 PM Rating: Excellent
No idea what chiro is and too lazy to look it up. Eastern techniques such as acupuncture have their place in pain relief when other methods have failed, but they are not rooted in science and should never be used as primary treatments. Homeopathic "medicine" is a load of crap and shouldn't be used period.
#22 Oct 01 2011 at 10:23 PM Rating: Excellent
Chiro was chiropractic medicine. I know it has it's place, but how do you feel about them saying that it cures other problems?
#23 Oct 02 2011 at 1:09 PM Rating: Excellent
Depends on what the problem is. If it was a problem being caused by an impinged nerve or something and the chiropractor can free it up, then I suppose so. But it doesn't magically fix health problems either.
#24 Oct 02 2011 at 1:14 PM Rating: Excellent
So a guy who says he can prevent ear infections is probably a quack? I really need work done* and don't want some greedy ******** doing it.

* Not saying that I need chiro, but I need something. From hip to neck, my spine turns right by about 20 to 30 degrees.
#25 Oct 02 2011 at 7:18 PM Rating: Excellent
An ear infection would have nothing to do with your spine whatsoever. He's full of crap. Not sure if a chiropractor would be able to help you with your issue, but it's possible.
#26 Oct 02 2011 at 7:54 PM Rating: Excellent
I think I probably just need a good stretching regimen or something. I'm 90% sure that my spinal issue comes from poor posture while on a fork lift or in front of a computer.
