Why the **** is it that when I have a chance to order food at work, I end up having precisely nobody in the store until the moment my food arrives. Then I'm busy with customers for the next hour or two as my food gets cold. Then they all leave as soon as my food is no longer enjoyable.

********.

Order cold food like subs and pasta. Then you won't have any customers.

Two likely reasons.

1. Are you ordering food anywhere near a dining hour? If so then people are likely on break and trying tog et their shiz done, which is why they are in your store.

2. Psychological. You take notice of the times you can't eat your lunch in peace because it annoys you and fail to notice as often the times you do eat your lunch in peace because it doesn't annoy you. Or in a similar way you fail you notice rushes that happen when you aren't eating lunch and instead taken notice of rushes that happen when you do eat lunch as often.

And no, this isn't meant to be comforting at all.

I miss 5 Brothers Chinese.

They sent us a letter thanking us for being their top customers once. Or maybe that was Papa Johns.

I don't usually get food near normal meal times. The funny thing is that I have stretches almost every day when I don't see another human being for 2-3 hours straight. When I run the numbers to see when the most frequent number of sales occur, though, it's pretty even across the board. The times where I have no business seem to occur at random.

I once had a Dunkin Donuts lady recognize me and ask if I wanted "the usual". I haven't been back since. Smiley: lol
