So, my grandpa died the other day. The wake is tomorrow, and funeral is Friday. Since I haven't bought a new suit in about 5 years, I had to go buy one. Anyway, I'm not a huge guy, but I'm kinda fat right now. The @#%^ing suit looks ridiculous. Dress pants never fit right on me, and I had to get a waist size of 44, when my normal jeans waist is 36. So, the waist fits but then the legs are baggy as @#%^. I had to get a 46R jacket, and the shoulders on it just don't look right. Hopefully nobody else dies before I can fit back into my old suit. I'd have preferred to go to a suit place and have it altered, but I can't really afford a nice suit.

Whatever. I should save the tags and return it afterwards.

Yeah, I looked stupid in suits when I was trying them on for my grad, so we just had some tailored.

I don't remember them being that expensive, but probably more than you're willing to spend.

The tailoring isn't expensive, but I can't get anything turned around by Friday, it seems.

The suit was $130, which is a cheap suit, but that's still $130, yo.

I bought two new suits last year for a couple of weddings, and even with a buy-one-get-one-free sale I still dropped $450. They were pretty nice suits though. And yeah, tailoring takes at least a week, sometimes two, depending on where you go. Fortunately, most places that I know of will do it for free if you bought your suit from them.

Yeah, there's a really nice suit place around here, but I don't plan on being this fat for much longer, so why spend a ton on a nice fatsuit?

For sure. I decided it was a better investment for me because I don't see myself getting larger or smaller for a good long while, but your decision is sound.

At least I can still jog 3-4 miles without having to stop, so it's not like I have to build up completely from nothing, but man I am ******* fat compared to where I used to be.

Like, probably 40 pounds above where I feel comfortable (which is like 20-25 pounds more than where I'm "supposed" to be but **** that noise).

Spoonless, if it makes you feel any better, I've gained 15 pounds in the last month and a half. I need to get some running shoes, quick.
