Do they let dogs into hospitals?Follow

I just found out that my stepfather is in the hospital, awaiting open heart surgery. I doubt I'll be able to, but does anyone know if I can bring Tanga to visit him (pre-surgery)?

They would not let a dog in there, I'm afraid. Sorry to hear about your stepfather though. Smiley: frown

By the way, Daim, these bypasses are more or less routine these days, right? He actually didn't even have a heart attack yet, but was probably pretty damn close.

Bypasses are pretty common, yeah. Not a permanent fix by any means, but they work.

My dad died of a heart attack. When they did the autopsy, they found 15% blockage in one of the arteries, and the others were clear. ****'s scary, yo.

Thanks, I was trying to pretend that this was just more or less like an overdue oil change.

Sorry. Heart health is serious ******* business.

It is definitely a big deal, nothing to ignore, but bypasses do their job well. The problem is that it's only a temporary fix, because the underlying problem is still there, and other arteries will sclerose eventually. The best treatment is diet, exercise, and drugs.

The funny thing is that they are talking to me about diet advice while giving me **** about not being able to quit smoking. Doubly funny because I've only been somewhat diet conscious for a few months.

Yeah, my grandpa had a triple bypass about 10 years ago, and he's still going at age 82. ****, he still works 30 hours a week as an apholsterer.

They should make a pill that makes the cowper's gland turn fats into fluid. Men would never have cardio issues.

Keep it up. Our last remaining dogs might have to meet highlander style.

I'd rather just punch you in the balls, and then give both our dogs some biscuits.

Could we skip the first step?

And I'd give them both steak.

I dunno... You kind of deserve it for suggesting we have our dogs fight to the death.

My dogs have sensitive stomachs (and allergies as well), but that never stopped them from butting their heads against the cupboard to make a pot roast fall off the counter and devouring it in 30 seconds.
