Besides I don't see the connection to a anarchist prince who gave up a life of luxury because of his beliefs about equality, and someone who was a contributing member of an oppressive centralist government.
I would prefer to compare people based on their actions rather than equating a humanitarian to a dictator simply because they both say nice things.
All dictators and tyrannical rulers twist ideology to suit their purposes - they also all say nice things and then do horrible things.
I don't equate capitalism to fascism because the fascists were also capitalists. So, I don't think it is reasonable to compare a good-hearted theorist like Kropotkin to a madman like Brezhnev simply because Brezhev abused the ideology surrounding marxism (which isn't even the anarchism Kropotkin advocated for anyway) in order to gain power, prestige and control.
