Whm is typically a good duo partner for DD who can destroy mobs on their own but are limited by dying before the mob does. I'm not sure how it would fare with BST since they are a more survivable DD rather than an all-out destructive force. But having never tried it myself, I couldn't say for sure.
When do you guys play? I might go, but it would be silly if my times don't sync up with you all.
I am in the pacific and play in evenings and on weekends... sort of sporadically, sometimes obsessively (if I have vacation time).

LootWhorinDramaFest seems to be heavily EST-centric, but there's a good amount of Central and Pacific players as well.

edit: if you want to play this evening, have someone shoot me a tell on IRC. I have that open while I'm working on homework so I get caught up and ahead with all my classes. Gotta work on Speech after I figure out this Level Design assignment.

75-90 isn't really a grind.. it is just everything before aby that is a grind
Don't lie to yourself, 97% of FFXI is a grind. Just like any other MMO.

And that you can get from 75-90 in a few sessions is depressing to me.
