Why would you require money for Skype? Are you actually calling peoples' phones? Get an actual phone for that.

skype is way cheaper than a phone... even the cheapest home phone plan here is like 20 bucks a month

OR I could call people using skype with unlimited long distance (in Canada) for less than 10 bucks a month...

Also, if you have a checking account, you can set up a pay pal account, which I think skype accepts.

Well, my paypal drafts from my checking account by account number, but has a back up with my debit card (which is retarded if you think about it).

Either way, most pre-paid visa or mastercards have a set rate fee around $5 per upload of cash. If you really want to use skype for phone, just pony up however much you think you need for a few months, + $5 and get a prepaid.

I use a Master Card Mio card for stuffs. It is pretty much a prepaid card that I can keep adding money to and doesn't cost me a monthly fee.

Yeah I think this is the solution - so you CAN add a prepaid card to paypal? I have never tried.

Did they fix it where a MC or Visa Debit Card doesn't work anymore? I had my Debit Card (linked to the same checking account as my Paypal account) linked for forever.

As long as your debit card is linked to one of the major credit companies (which 99% of cards in the US are), then it should work fine. I've never used a debit card that isn't, so I can't vouch for that other 1%. Debit cards in Canada may be different, I don't know.

I use my checking account with paypal, I don't have any problems. The debit info they have linked to it is olde. There isn't any delay for drafting from a checking account on paypal anymore. I don't see why you don't just use that.

Unsure, but you can transfer funds from a linked bank account to paypal (needs to be done prior to making the purchase) and buy stuff with it, without linking a credit card.
