Of course I do. I didn't learn my (now horribly rusty) Japanese for nothing.

Ok, honesty time: it had nothing to do with Anime, it was all about getting JP Chicks (and it worked).

But yeah.

Click the score tab to sort them by highest to lowest rating, find something you haven't seen that sounds interesting. If you want information on why I rated a certain series as I did, feel free to ask.

Also, since when has a show being for girls been a problem? You should watch Maria-sama ga Miteru.

No, I'm just used to people giving me crap for it like whenever I bring it up IRL--I love the show. If it makes you feel any better I've already been lambasted in PMs over saying that.

You'll soon learn that this place is nothing like RL. Smiley: laugh

However, I hear that if you die on /k/, you die IRL.

So what you're saying is that /k/ is like Canada?

I doubt you haven't, but just in case, if you like Mushishi you should watch Kino no Tabi without a question.

Interesting fact about Mushishi, the second verse of The Sore Feet Song (OP) takes a staunchly different tone than the first. At 1:20 I was like "wait... did he just say what I think he did?" Then I laughed because I thought the line was so funny, and then I was sad because it was a different song than I wanted it to be.

Sorry, I'd respond but someone blew my mind.

The "giant bears" line? I think he could have used something a less ridiculous there, myself. That's really the only weak part in the verse, though.

The "I robbed convenience store because I thought that it'd be easier."

It clashes with my image of the character in the song. I thought of him as this guy wandering distant lands, sands, snow, hills, etc. Turns out he also heads into town to shake down the local Kwik-E-Mart shop owner. What I thought was hilarious was his explanation "I thought that it'd be easier." That's his excuse?

"So uh, why were you raping that man on top of the city-hall steps?"
"Damn man, I thought this'd be easier!"

Well he said the line before that he stole ten thousand pounds. To me, the verse is about him compromising his morals to get to the person he loves.

So wait, Mushishi is good? I know it scored well on ANN, but the premise didn't seem very interesting. I may have to check it out now.

edit: Also, this line from Wiki doesn't make it sound very promising: "There is no over-arching plotline."

I like plotlines :(.

Mushishi is episodic, but it does episodic in much the same way Kino no Tabi does it. Each episode is a story about the world and the main character.

I didn't like Kino no Tabi as much as I liked Mushishi. It was still a good watch though.

I'd rate them about even, though I think other people may be more likely to enjoy Kino no Tabi over Mushishi.
