Things you can do (and probably should do) instead of play FFXIV:
  • ********** with sandpaper!
  • See how many rusty nails you can fit in your *** hole!
  • Build up your resistance to waterboarding by having CIA practice on you!
  • Cut your big toes off and glue them to your forehead like horns! (My personal favorite)

Did you try pulling out your vitreous humor with a really thin syringe needle and replacing it with high pulp orange juice?

Really, I'm kinda burned out on MMOs in general.
I just lash out at FFXIV cuz it was the last one I played.

There probably is some truth to that. I was enjoying it right up until the point that all but one of my friends quit.

Every time you post a pic like that, I have to fight the urge to get a game just so I can spend an hour playing dress up before getting bored.

Poldy, download the Champion's Online demo (or full game, it's going free to play on the 25th) the whole game is pretty much dressup.
The character creator is saldy also where the best part of the game ends.

City of Heroes was the same way.
It's almost like Super Hero MMOs are dumb and they should quit making them.

People like playing dressup though, you should know that.
And since the games offer little depth gameplay wise, they have to keep making new ones once people get bored of making new toons in the current superhero MMO.

Although I think the fatal flaw of superhero MMO's is that in a universe where everybody is a superhero, nobody really is a superhero anymore.
