Basically so far the story is "people die".

I like watching ongoing shows.
It adds a bit of anticipation and time to think on what might be happening and why and seeing if you were right the next week.

I like it because it's easier to watch 1 ep a week without getting bored than it is to watch 10 eps of the same show in a row.
When I first saw the title to this thread, I had FFXI in the brain.

Watched the first ep, seems kind of meh. I'll watch another ep or two eventually if i feel like it, to see if it's worth watching, but idk.
