Oh, well... I imagine the grading goes something like this:

1. Does it fit the required length?
2. Does it pass a spellcheck? Nothing terrible pop up on the grammar check?
3. After a brief skim, does it seem that the whole paper talks about the subject at hand?

If all of the above, award a grade between 85 and 95. Always make sure to take at least 5 points off because they probably @#%^ed up somewhere in there.

He said he doesn't like to give high grades for a first paper, but i just deserved it because it was so good. I suspect he was lying. I mean, i guess it wasn't horrible, but it certainly wasn't good either.

When you shovel **** all day, normal mud begins to smell sweet in comparison?

Either that or he confused your paper with someone else's paper, in which case some unlucky ******* who worked hard on his paper is now wondering how he got such a low grade.

He wrote right on the paper that thought it was really good. I just don't get it.

In that case, assume that you are a genius compared to the rest of the class and proceed to act accordingly.

Well, I took a short stories class (reading them, not writing them) in college, where I was the star student. It was ******* hilarious. I would write these papers, and make up symbolism and just spout the most meaningless drivel. My professor thought that I was insightful. ******* aced the class, where English majors were having a difficult time.

Good ****.

Maybe i should try that.

Really, it's less about what you're actually getting from the class and more about convincing the professor that he's doing a good job. Smiley: lol

Classes like that aren't going to help you as an engineer anyway. Just use it to pad your GPA.

Also, how flexible is your scheduling? Do you get to pick any classes? I assume you have to take at least one writing class in there. If you are able to pick which one to take, take a technical writing class. It sucks and it's terribly boring, but it will help you immensely.

Nope, there aren't too many choices available.
