The worst part about big announced updates for me is that it makes people who haven't played in a while want to come back. Now normally, this is pretty cool if it involves people who I like. However, since I'm in an endgame LS that has been around since before Asura was even made, it brings back a lot of old LS members who I don't even know. This too is usually cool except for one particular type of person.
I don't mind the people who have been gone for years and don't know anything, and go out and try to explore and see what's new. The people I don't like are the ones who have been gone for only a couple months, and just start asking all sorts of questions that are easily answered if they ******* opened their goddamned web browser. "Do we still do Sandworm HNM?" I don't ******* know. Go look at out recent kill list on our forums. "What's this trials stuff? Is that for the fomor weapons?" They just added it yesterday, go look online like *************** else in the LS.
OK, maybe I just don't like this one guy who left the LS about two months after I joined. He fulltimes Homam hat on BLU, and always (literally always) eats sushi on DRK because "[he] hate[s] missing." It's unpossible to cap accuracy with pizza to this guy. It has to be sushi. Has to be. Aaaarrrrggggghhhhhhh. The worst part is that he actually gets to play BLU at events because his jobs are pretty useless. So all the well-geared BLUs in the LS who know how to play the job send each other /tells all event long trashing the guy. Oh, and he doesn't even ******* gearswap on BLU. Ever.
I guess they don't break his pearl because he's just so... insignificant. But still, I wish he had not come back. I had to log out because I couldn't stand the constant questions about **** that he could easily find out elsewhere. I mean, we had a guy come back who hadn't played in three years who knows more about the current game than this guy. Seriously.
This concludes my FFXI rant of the day.
