I'm really enjoying Samurai, pretty neat to deal some real damage for once Smiley: lol

Our little group is getting pretty good at low-manning Limbus; Hopefully we can snag a couple more people to join us. It'll be better when I have /THF leveled, I think.

I'd totally join your Limbus group if we were on the same server.

I've been leveling DRK recently, and it's pretty fun. Hopefully by the time I hit 75, I'll have some Homam to wear. I'm considering saving up for a M.Kris, but I don't know. 3M is a lot of gil.

I haven't been playing too much recently. Aside from the maybe once or twice a week leveling session on DRK, I pretty much just log in for Limbus. My BLU has been 68 for probably 6 months or so, and I can't be ***** to level/farm spells. I catch myself wondering why I'm even working towards Homam, if I don't really do anything anyway. Smiley: lol

For the lulz. Do it for the lulz man.

Smiley: laugh I ask myself the same question every now and then; I never really have much of an answer, but yet I'm still here, playing FFXI.

Yeah, I'm always like "man, once I get Homam, it's gonna be awesome!" What exactly is going to be awesome? The only thing I currently do is Limbus. Smiley: lol So basically, once I have no more use for the event I'm doing, the event I'm doing will become awesome? Maybe I'll get some storyline done. Still haven't finished ToAU or done any WotG.

In unrelated news, TurinAlexander is not renewing Premium because the admins haven't changed his name despite repeated requests. Relevant link. Personally, I think he's a twatwaffle. I may in fact re-upgrade to Premium just because he's not.

I enjoyed the ToAU missions, some pretty funny cutscenes, and a couple hard fights (Alexander [:Anna:]). I haven't done alot of WotG, I'll probably convince my friends to get started on those.

One of my RL friends wants to start his own endgame LS (Salvage, Dynamis, Limbus, HNMs, etc.), starting with low-manning a few events whilst gathering members. I think he's pretty comitted to it, and he's pretty good at leading our little group around.
I've been contemplating whether or not I should start helping him out. I'm not totally sure if I want to do endgame; I left my only heavy endgame LS a couple weeks ago.

On the other hand, I think it could be fun being a part of the decision-making, leading a group through events.

Meh.

Smiley: lol When it comes to FFXI, I'm a follower, not a leader. I'll help out with just about anything, but I generally prefer to be along for the ride. This is especially true for helping out newer players with missions and quests. I make them look it all up and lead the group, even if I know exactly where to go and whatnot. If I need something like a mission, I always do the research and am prepared to lead.

One of my friends quit, and I took over his account. So now I have two accounts with a ******** of subjobs to level and merits to get and gear to get. Hmm... I should have just said no.

Yes, yes you should have. A friend quit last year or so, gave me some of his gear and stuff, then he came back and wondered if I still had the gear.
Hah! Heck no. I compulsively sell gear that I'm not currently using.

Well he didn't give me any gear. He transferred to Cerberus at the end of Jan. to give another friend his gear. So I inherited a naked BLM NIN RDM 75 on a server where my main isn't. I have to wait 'til the end of April to transfer him to Asura.

I'll probably only really use it to Refresh my main while I solo puddings.

I never really liked nuking things (most likely due to ****** RDM elemental skill), but I enjoyed playing DD SCH. Kinda makes me wonder if I should give SCH or BLM a shot sometime.

Probably not. I think 4 75's is enough for me, at some point the merits just keep piling up, and I like to sorta "complete" my jobs Smiley: frown

BLM is fun, if you like to solo for ~45 levels.

My main has three 75's (PLD BLM MNK), with BLU69 and DRK59 that I'm working on. I plan on stopping after that. I have some merits, but obviously not as many as I'd like, and adding those next two jobs is going to be a pain.

Yeah, I think the biggest BLM turn-off for me is the soloing.

Also, it's a RL friend, so if he comes back and steals the gear I put on the character, I can go punch him in the jeans.

My friend Arathas will give you a cookie if you transfer to Ramuh apparently. You stole his line remember? You best remember.

I have too many long-term friends on Asura. If I can convince them to all transfer, I will, but otherwise, I'm staying put.

I know. I'd need like 10 people to quit before I thought of server transfers. Even then I might just quit Smiley: tongue

Did some Garrisons last night, was super fun. We actually got 12 people out which was awesome, since it's usually just the core group of 6-8 people.

I tried to LFP on DRK, but the AC is gone, so nobody wants to EXP without it.

Got the 2nd account to RDM75, I think I'm going to go with 2/5 Dia III, 5/5 Slow II, 3/5 Paralyze II. I don't know if that's the best way to do things, but it makes sense in my head.

Those are pretty solid merits; I personally went with 5/5 Phalanx II though. Depends what you do with the other char I guess.
Also, SCH sucks for having Phalanxga Smiley: glare

FINALLY have my THF sub done, I basically spent 10hrs soloing THF from 26 -> 37.

Well, from my experiences on PLD, most everything is done /NIN now. I generally don't *need* Phalanx II, and figure that for anything that big, there'd be another RDM there with it merited anyway. From what I can see, Slow II gets the biggest discernable bonus from being fully merited. 2 in Dia III would make it 60s duration, which should be sufficient for short melee burns like Kirin.

Only 28 more days 'til I can move him to Asura. I don't know what to name him. I wanted to name him Misha, but it's apparently taken. :(
