Hi all,

Does anyone know what level we will need to max our trade skills to 450 when Wotlk comes out?

Apologies if this question has already been answered :)

Thanks in advance.

It's unknown for sure at the moment but it seems to be level 70 to train Grand Master (upto 450).

If it follows the established pattern, then it might be level 65, but Wowwiki is suggesting it will be level 70.

Current benchmark levels are:
Level 20 for 151-225
Level 35 for 226-300
Level 50 for 301-375

So, it might make sense if the 15-level increment was utilized making it were level 65 to train for 376-450.

But, it might also be lower...I found this site with a screenshot of the enchanting trainer (scroll down) that says Level 60 and Enchanting level 350 is required to train Grand Master (450).

It's still beta though, so things can change.

I wonder how many casts per skill level it will be for fishing?

I wonder what your enchanting will have to be to disenchant level 80 greens?

If the current pattern holds, it might only be 375 enchanting to DE level 80 epics. Currently, level 300 enchanting lets you DE everything in the game, which you can get to at level 35. At 275, you can DE everything except 70 epics, so maybe 350 will be the level for 80 greens.

Dunno, but either way, I'll probably make a DK expressly to become my disenchanter. Leveling my current 36 warrior DE alt to 60 (or whatever the level will be) versus leveling a DK starting at 55 is a no-brainer. Or, if 375 is all that's needed, then it'll only be a matter of getting the DK out of the starter area and over to a major city. :-)

I found the answer at El's Extreme Anglin' - 1000 catches to go from 375 to 450. For 375-430 it's 12.5 catches per skill point and for 430-450 it's 14.5.

In other words... A LOT!!!

It seems like one could go from 375 to 450 in maybe a days worth of fishing, but for some reason that doesn't seem to be the case.

If I hadn't caught my magic crawdad yet, I'd really not mind it - great excuse to score a boat load of great stat food, get my skill-ups and try to score an uber-rare non-combat pet to boot.

Still though, think of it this way - anyone who's worried about how many casts it'll take to get to 450 is therefore doing the fishing dailies. If its a thousand casts to get to 450 then that's only three months of dailies and probably less since we'll all obviously be working various pools we find in the expansion to boot. As such, I think one can reasonably hit 450 in just a month or two of play at most (less if you also fish while waiting for BG/arena to que).
