Leveling Alchemy, Herbalism & Fishing above 300.Follow

#1 Aug 24 2008 at 6:25 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a LVL 50 N Elf Priest who has been stuck at 300/300 lvls for Alchemy, Herbalism & Fishing for quite a while now. I was told I had to go to Outland to lvl these higher. Is this true? Or can I take any of the three higher outside of Outland, & if so, where??? HELP!!!

All 300+ trainers are in Outlands. There are no exceptions that I am aware of. Get a port to Shatt and you're pretty much all set. You don't need to be in outlands to level them as plenty of recipes still give skill-ups from Azoroth mats.

Thanks. will give it a try. Can't use a lot of my recipies until I'm higher than lvl 300 in the Trades/profs. Have a couple of kids with lvl 70 toons who can get me to sath so I can get trained up. TNX.

You can train in Expert fishing from the Auction House. The book sold by Juno Defrain in Zangarmarsh isn't Bind-on-Pickup.

Send one of your kids to buy it and bring it back for you. I'm pretty sure you need to have upgraded to the Burning Crusade expansion in order to raise any skill cap beyond 300.

Not true. For alchemy (and other primary crafting professions) to get 300+, you need to be level 50 or higher. You have to be 58+ to go through the portal to Outland, but there are other ways to get there sooner. I ported to Shattrath at level 50 and trained my alchemy to 375 within 30 minutes. There's an alchemy trainer in Lower City near the Aldor bank.

For gathering professions, there is no longer a level requirement. The master trainer (Horde or Alliance) is in Hellfire, so you need to make your way there...unfortunately, no Shattrath trainer. I did it on my druid at level 50.
