I've noticed as I've gained more blacksmithing experience that the recipies get more complicated and require more ingrediants. I can find most of them from mining and looting, but I can't seem to find leather. Where can I find leather at?

You'll find the leather you'll occasionally need from a friend/guildmate who skins beasts for their hides or on the auction house. You'll occasionally come across some leather out of random chests.

All the professions need help or materials from the other professions for some of their stuff. Like enchanters need the rod that blacksmiths make to get the "runed" version, or engineers getting the Inlaid Mithril Cylinder plans that blacksmiths need.

Leather is still tough for me to buy at AH prices, but then again, everything is priced pretty high. It's always a tough decision to wait for a guild skinner, or get what I need right now.

If your character is not too far along in levels, start another one who skins or herbs, or whatever else you might be interested in. Even if you don't have time to get them up to the same level as your main character, they can at least help you get more cash with the stuff they sell.

To level blacksmithing, you don't need much leather. Your best bet is to just buy it off the AH. If you are short on cash, go sell some ore/bars.

As the Recipes get higher and more complicated the best way is pick the cheapest Recipes to make , if you had enough gold it is fully possible to buy all you need at the auction house but strictly speaking not at all needed , like all leather you can easily buy from the auction house or as others have said find a skinner and trade in some way with them , either gold or you blacksmithing something for them , it works for me that way , i either have a character that makes things i need or i trade services with others.

Best way is look up the levelling guides here as they are great at explaining most things .
