Eng/Ench or Eng/BS Follow

So I made a Paladin alt, gonna be a ret PvP character, and I know Engineering is one of the better PvP proffesions. I've got a 70 with plenty of money to spare getting materials, as well as a mining guildy who said he'd get me some mats in his off time, so I'm lucky in that regard. Now as far as the second proffesion goes, I think Enchanting has a lot of potential, but BS can make Stormherald, so its a toss up.

Now, since I'm going to be PvPing a lot, would it be OK to skip on Stormherald and just get the arena weapons, or is it still superior?

Also, if I go with Enchanting, is there anything you can DE from engineering?

Thank'd in advance!

You can DE some of the head peices that one can make such as goggles and helmets - not sure about the rest of the stuff.

Since engineering uses a lot of consumable materials, I'd highly recomend that you just take mining instead of enchanting as your friend's patience and your main's pocketbook are both going to be rather strained otherwise.

True, I think mining would be the most economical choice, but once I hit endgame and have 2 70's doing instances and dailies, I think I'll drop mining for something a little more useful (though the passive buff upcoming in WotLK looks nice...), and I'm thinking that it would just be eaiser to get arena weapons than powerleveling BS just for Stormherald, and there really isn't anything else all that useful out of smithing (maybe sharpening/weighted stones), and I hear Enchanting is a pain to powerlevel.

Eh, its a toss up.

If so, you're doing it badly wrong. You should be making as much as you spend leveling enchanting, by disenchanting items for a profit and selling your spare (and then some).
