Forcing nodesFollow

How do I force all mining nodes to produce ore? I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I would like to know.

You can't. You have to level up your mining skill.

Thanks. I figured that, but needed to be sure.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking how you can mine silver, for instance, when your mining is only level 10 or 15?

Or are you asking how to get all of the spawn locations to produce something you can mine?

If it was the first question, it was already answered. Go here and find a link at the bottom for a leveling guide which should give you an idea of what level you need to mine different ores.

If it's the second question, you cannot force spawns at all spawn locations at the same time, as some are on the same timer - meaning ore will only spawn at one of those locations (which are on the same timer) at any one time. Am I making sense?

But if you want silver, for instance, which only spawns from a tin vein, you can try mining all the tin you find in the same area in the hopes of kicking off a silver spawn. I've never been successful at it myself.

The only time I have felt like I "forced" a spawn was in Alterac Mountains. There are two ogre caves in the snowy valley area. One is a very small cave, maybe only 15 feet in length, with a spawn inside and a couple nearby outside. The other has a couple branches, and there are probably 6 spawn points inside, along with a few nearby around the cave entrance.

They are mostly Mithril and Iron, and I would mine them all and then make a loop around the outside of the ogre fortress and pick up a few more static spawns. Sometimes when I came back to the caves, one of the spawns would be Truesilver.

The first time it happened, my skill was a couple points short. I think TS is skill 230.
I ran around as fast as I could to get two more points so I could mine the TS. I knew someone would probably get to it before I got back, but lo and behold, it was mine all mine (pun intended).

Anyway, I would use that strategy everytime I went on a mining loop, and more often than not it would pay off. Now and then the regular node spots would regenerate as a silver, gold or truesilver node. Not like clockwork, mind you, but with enough regularity to be satisfied with the time invested.
