As you will already know, every server has its own economy so it's impossible to tell you straight off the bat what will work best for you.

What you could do, however, is to look up each recipe on here or another website, see what the materials requried are and how much they - the materials and the finished product - sell for on your Auction House, then work out what profite margin you could make. Of course, this will require a fair amount of work on your part but then going into business is not something that should be done lightly.

Good luck!

Bags.

You can get some nice bag patterns with Rep. Even some of the bags from Vanilla WoW are good. A herb bag in Sith I think...

Fairly easy to do, and most bags sell well. Just don't flood the economy. I usually have 1 - 3 NW Bags on sale a day - That takes me about 5 minutes to tele to IF, buy the NW cloth, make it into 3 bags. Post on AH. Gross return is about 21 to 24g, net is about 10ish - so time spent is similar to running 1 daily.

Do the same thing with Ib NW Bags. Net return is a bit better if you farm the N.Web yourself. If you are a high enough tailor, the arcane dust should be no prob - assuming you have an enchanter alt/friend....

This sounds like something that's currently working for Borsuk, but always remember that anything that's easy for you to do is probably easy for someone else to do as well.

If even a few people read this advice and decide to give it a try tonight, the price of Netherweave will rise a little and the price of bags will fall a little too and in a few nights, nobody on the realm will be making 3g profit on each bag.

If you want to make money from a crafting profession, you need to either time the market for mats/craftables (which is essentially what Borsuk is doing) or you need to learn to make something that very few other people can make. Some tailors on my realm, for example, seem to be doing pretty well with crafting Belts of Blasting at the moment. Because there are relatively people who know the pattern, they can squeeze a little more profit out of buyers than they could make from crafting something every tailor knows.

What is your tailoring specialty? Whatever it is, make sure you hit your cooldown whenever it is up. Getting that extra cloth is an easy profit maker.

If you are primal mooncloth specialized, you have another profit maker: Mycah's Botanical Bag. Grind your Sporegar rep to revered, grab the pattern, get some fel lotus, profit. (Dependent on your server's economy, of course, but being able to make the extra p.mooncloth should push this craftable past the break even point).

Also are you Aldor or Scryer exalted? Spellthreads sell well on my server even if you buy the mats off the ah. Golden sells for 60% more than Runic. Don't know if this is common on other servers. But life only sells for 25-30% more than mana. So greater profit potential on my server if you are Aldor.

Yeah - bags are the way to go in my XP with tailoring - epic patterns are only for making for yourself, alts and friends/guildies.

Just normal netherweave bags are well worth selling and always go for more then thier base mats on my server - just doing the dailies gives an ample quantity of cloth for making them.

If you want to make the bigger ones, I've found the best way to farm the silk is to simply go in and solo the trash in BM - if you've got a skinning toon that can do it then double score as you'll be rolling in knothide to boot.
