Looks like enginners might be getting another cool (although useless) device - the critter enlarger.

I believe this item was in the BC beta and was removed before BC came out and that it is just left over on MMO from then. I dont really think that it is going to be in WotLK, if it was, why would MMO only list 1 new item from WotLK for engineering?
They probably removed it due to them deciding to include the Papa Hummel's Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuts in the trading card game - if they let engineers make that then the card would be worthless.

Not really. The biscuits enlarge non-combat pets, not critters. It's a completely different effect.
