Don't worry about the mats you use to level up. If you use a few hundred gold worth of mats to level it, so what? It is an investment.
As you raise your enchanting level, you will be able to disenchant higher level weapons and armor, so you will be able to find more items to de. Using some mats to get your level up means higher profits, even if you buy some of the mats. Aim for eventually getting your enchanting to 275 (requires character level 35).
You can laugh at the people who told you it wasn't a good idea, once you have your first 1000g in savings.
The thing is, you do not have to spend money to level enchanting until you start getting close to 300. Here's the way to do it (even with a starting amount as low as 50 silver):
Purchase cheap low-level greens (disenchant level=1) at the AH with your initial amount. Make sure that they are cheap and the results will make you a profit by using Enchantrix. Sell the resulting mats until you get to around 10 Gold - that should get you enough low-level greens to get the mats to bring yourself to the next level. Continue in this fashion, always ensuring that you will have enough excess mats to got to the next disenchant level. You will make money as you get better, and as you get better, you will make even more.
