I am looking for a place to farm runecloth. The preference would be to receive some rep but not a requirement. Seem to get a bit from orge's in north west Zang. Any suggestions would be helpful

Thanks

I used to farm the scourge mobs in Plaguelands for runecloth. East and west both give quite a bit, get some mageweave mixed in from west though.

Yup, skeletons in WPL are easy to cut down. You can also try the satyr camps in Azshara; the bit of Felcloth from them is a small bonus.

Another nice place is the Expedition armory in Hellfire Peninsula.

I had great luck farming runecloth off the ghosts at Lake Kel'theril in Winterspring - but that was before TBC. Now, I'd probably head for the outlands instead, and get Runecloth and Netherweave drops from orcs.

Mobs in Silithus drop it a lot, and it's practically always deserted

If you want Argent Dawn rep and a chance at the Lifestealing enchant (which atleast on my server goes for about 50g-60g), go solo Scholomance. Assuming you're seventy and can crank it out, it's a pretty easy instance to solo and those mobs lurve their runecloth.

Just another suggestion, the Ogres in Nagrand drop it like mad also, along with netherweave. Was farming them the past couple of days for those powders...will I ever get my Dark War Talbuk?

This.

If you fly in to Cenarion Hold, and then head west out of town, off the right side of the road is a Twilight Hammer encampment. Easy easy mobs to cut down. I went with a mage who was looking to earn rep for the Cenarion Circle to be able to make the Satchel of Cenarius.

The mobs drop texts, 10 texts = 1 turn in = 500 rep. By the time the mage hit revered (a total of about 5 hours cutting through these mobs), she had an imbued netherweave bag (18 slot) full of stacks of runecloth.

Go for it, in all the time we were there we didn't see another soul.
