Those healing goggles are looking mighty fine...Follow

I'm really close in deciding to drop Herbalism for engineering for these nifty goggles, on my shaman.

I hardly play my rogue as of late due to trying to get to 70 on her, so I'm thinking of picking the rogue back up and taking mining to support most of the mats. The way I see it, is I should get enough mats to just get to 350 (for the time being), and when calculating it all, it really isn't that much.

Should I follow my gut and get those goggles or forfeit the thought for some generic quest item?

That will be alot of money and/or time for one item. Is there anything else in engineering that you like? If not......meh, it's really up to you.

I thought about doing that on my Paladin, but then went with Enchanting instead. +40 ring heal is nice, plus I actually enjoy helping others out.

EDIT - Of course, depending on your guild, if you think it will take you a while to get to BT, then maybe you should go for it. It is a preety sweet helm. Conversely, if you think you will fly into BT, then I wouldn't spend the time on crafting the helm.

Yeah, I haven't looked at the other stuff yet (will be once I finish replying =P), but the guild isn't going to be in BT any time soon (plus the fact that my shammy is only 64 atm). So I still have time to dilly-dally around. The ring enchants are nice, but I'm not too keen on levelling another enchanter just to get ring enchants.

Question though, do you know if whether or not, you lose the ring enchant if you drop enchanting later on? Or does it stay there (and still give you the stats)?

I do believe that you keep the enchants. There is no mention of "enchanting 370 required" in the tooltip. It just states that the ring becomes soulbound.

Of course, leveling enchanting to that level and then dropping it would be a shame.

Yeah definitely. I actually didn't spend a lot levelling my enchanting on my rogue, just DE quest rewards I couldn't use and stuff. But there's higher level enchanters in the guild that could enchant stuff if needed.

Now what WOULD be a shame is if you level all that way to get the ring enchants, then unlearn it, and the ring enchants disappear. That would suck
