hey am hunting for gromsblood would not picking liferoot and the other herbs stop the gromsblood from spawning?

No. The spawn sites are fixed (both location and type of plant) . Not plucking a liferoot spawn has no effect on other spawn sites.

How long does it take for Stranglekelp to respawn? I'm pretty new to WoW and one of my guys is working on Alchemy. Thanks in advance

It varies. I've had sites re-spawn within minutes, and others that won't be there again for hours. Herbalism is a throw of the dice - gather what you can, use what you need to, and sell the rest.
