Well, I've tried now and failed at learning how to work with enchantrix. I already regularly check the AH for good buys.(I've found 56-59 green armors to be great if they are oldworld), but I just don't know how to use enchantrix, or what it really does.

How do I use it?

The way I use it is after scanning, type
/enchantrix percentless 50

This will make a list in your chat of items for sale that can be bought for at least 50 percent less than their disenchant value (adjust your percent accordingly if there is too much or too little). Unfortunately Enchantrix isn't integrated into a convenient UI like Auctioneer so you can't just browse the 'deals,' you have to actually search for them after you see look through them in your chat log.

Can you be more specific about what you would like to do?

Or, the save time for yourself you could check out Enchantrix Documentation.

As someone previously stated use these commands:

/enchantrix percentless 50

It doesn't have to be 50, I use 35. What this does is it finds items which disenchant and have a profit of 50% over the price you paid for the item, so if you buy an item for 1g you should make 1.5g.

/enchantrix bidbroker 500

This find items which you can bid on that have a profit of 500s AKA 5g or more.

Not quite. What it calculates is profit MARGIN, a calculation based on the price for the mats, not the buyout amount of the item to be disenchanted. 50% of 2 gold = a 1 Gold Profit margin, not a 50 Silver profit. 50% of 1.5 Gold will give you a buyout price of 75 Silver.

Basically, a 50% margin doubles your gold.

So, typing /enchantrix percentless 50 is supposed to give you a list in your chat log?

Guess I messed up on the download or have an old version.... it doesn't do anything for me.

try typing in /enchantrix default all. If you changed any settings (like sending the list to a different chat), this will restore the defaults.

I have never used it, but noticed you haven't said if you regularly scan the auction house with auctioneer or not.

That may effect your enchantrix browsing, if it doesn't have accurate data saved.

When you first open the chat with the auctioneer, click the scan button near the bottom tabs on the window. You should do this every time you log in with the toon your using with auctioneer.

Someone else can correct me, but I think when you scan, the information is updated for all characters, meaning you don't have to log in and scan with each character you have on that server.

I've had problems with /percentless since the new patch came out (2.4). It stopped bringing up items that were actually for sale at the stated prices. This was true even when done after a fresh scan.

So I went to the enxhantrix.org's forums and posted for help. Here's what they said.

Basically, they say they're not supporting percentless (and bidbroker) much anymore because it's getting folded into btmscan. I've played around with btmscan some since then and have it working decently.

It is interesting that we should move toward btmscan according to the developers. I'll have to start trying that.

With regard to percentless not working, it can stop working when moving from classic to auctioneer advanced. The key is to fixing this is to completely remove the old version. This includes removing all the old auctioneer folders from the addons directory, as well as the old saved variable files from all the auctioneer modules. These are under the WTF folder. Also delete your characters folder under WTF to reset everything to default (note this also resets your UI to default).

I've gotten percentless working more than once by doing this, when new addon versions have caused me a problem.

Essentially correct. It would probably be truer to say that the information is updated for all characters of the same faction on the same server. If you have horde and alliance toons on a PvE server, you would need to scan both auction houses to update for all your toons. You would also need separate scans for other servers.

Additionally, when you first start using Auctioneer, the best way to build your database quickly is to scan twice a day (morning and evening) for about a week to catch the largest number of auctions. After your original database load is done, you can slow that down to once a day.

However, the list Enchantrix generates is based on the data generated by the most recent scan. Therefore, for a disenchanting run, you should preform a scan immediately prior to issuing the percentless command.
