FISHING question - how do I go beyond 150?Follow
I've leveled to 150 (+5) but when I go to the fishing trainer he does not offer me anything more? What up?
You need to buy Expert Fishing - The Bass and You in Booty Bay for 1g. You can also find it in the auction house but it will probably be more expensive.
You also need to be at least Level 20 to be able to read the book.

Actually not true. I just learned it on my 19 hunter. Go figure.
This was just changed in the last patch.

That's one I didn't notice, so rateup for the info. I have to get my L12 alt's butt to booty for the book now.

Fishing, like all of occupations, can be maxed to 375. I believe the next step is to get the fishing quest from Nat Pagle over in Theramore (don't know if this is different for Horde.)

After Nat Pagle has increased your level cap in fishing to 300, you need to get to Outland to increase the level cap to 375. Your character level also needs to be at least 50 to increase the skill level beyond 325.
Most Outland trainers are in Honor Hold or Thrallmar. Not fishing. The dude to speak to is in the Cenarion ?Enclave in Zangarmarsh. Good luck making it there at level 50.
If you simply have to get the training ASAP when you hit level 50, get a guild member to get the book in Zang for you.

The book you need to read once you reach 300 fishing skill is Master Fishing - The Art of Angling. If WoWHead is accurate, this book has a level requirement of 45. So if a level 45 character could find the book in the auction house or have a friend pick it up, its possible to have 375 fishing skill at level 45.

Don't forget that you can gain skill ups from any water source in the game - you can go from level 1 to 375 fishing from a pond/stream in a city catching level 1 fish.
