I have had my mining skill ever sense I hit level 10 on my mage it provided a lot of my mount/spell learning money. But, now that I hit 70 I find that when I relay need money I farm motes. The mining skill has been even more useless now that IM in BG and no longer exposed to the wonderful mines of outland.
The times when IM not bashing heads in IM in low level dungeons like SFK, SM, and SFK farming cloth for my talering (Which IM planning on keeping.)

So finally my question what new skill should take the place of my beloved mining? ... Any ideas?

Take enchanting. Since you are running low level instances, you will be able to level enchanting fast and for free (instead of selling those greens and blues).
