Without having herbalism what potions make the most money buying herbs on the Auction House?

Thanks in advance!

not a very good idea, I would only expect to make money with alchemy if you are doing transmutes without herbalism. I mean making swiftness potions may do it or things like that, but for the most part the majority of your profits will come from using herbalism.

Thanks Anobix. I had a feeling someone would say that. Guess I'll start grinding my herbalism.

Would selling the herbs on the Auction House make more money than picking the herbs myself and making potions to sell on the Auction House?

typically, the raw mats (herbs) will sell for more then the crafted products.

...walk to your AH, search the ave pricing on some herb stacks....then search the pricing on some crafted pots/elixiers and see for yourself.

economies are very server dependant and all advice given on here needs to be weighed against your server AH.

if you spec Alc Pots....crafting those for extras could make you more money then selling Herbs.
if you spec Alc Elixir....crafting those for extras could make you more money then selling Herbs.

get your Sporgore rep up high enough to buy the Primal Earth to Primal water Xmute. you can buy primal earth in the AH for 2-5g each, and sell the primal water for 15-22 gold each. good way to make easy moeny with no grinding.

I do occasionally buy a stack of dreaming glory if I find it cheap (under 8g a stack) and I have a ton of felweed on my character because it is so easy, so I send it along with the felweed + vials to get my pots crafted. A stack of 5 potions on my server runs upwards of 10-12g, so I save a bit of money doing that.

As stated above, it's server dependent. My 28 warrior has 600Gs from selling nothing but swiftness potions for the past month. Sells faster weekends when people grind the pvp battlegrounds and the mats are cheap (again, depending on server).

I tried something like this a month ago. I saw some really good prices on Ancient Lichen and some other herbs. So I started thinking why dont I buy a couple stacks, hold on to it for a while, then sell it when supply starts getting low. Of course then the whole economy went to crap. So those stacks of Ancient Lichen I thought was at a good price at 15g a stack is now around 8g per stack... way to go me.
