Just burned a bunch of tin and iron ore with no luck and I'm rather leary about tearing up a few stacks of mithril if the aquamarines won't drop at a solid rate from it either - can anyone give input on the prospecting rate of them is, or suggests on where to farm em?
There is no way to get a reliable income of a certain gem prospecting. Its pure luck. You have two options... A.) Just buy them off the AH or B.) just keep mining it yourself and keep prospecting until you get what you need, which is what I did to level up my JC.

You could just sell the ore and buy aquamarines with the gold.
Alternatively you could prospect the ore, vend the dust and sell any unwanted stones on the AH to pay for your aquamarines.
