I got this from Kara where it's like a 1% chance drop for a 375 engineer.

Anyway, I spent a day grinding mats and put it on the AH where I have never seen one before. It sold for 449g (thottbot stated it's average selling price as 445g) within 10 minutes.

I spend another day grinding mats and figured if I got 449g so fast, I'd go for 499g. I shout on trade I have one and get flack about the 499g price so even offered for 449g and still got flack about how mats only cost this or that (I farm them but if I used AH would be around 235g on my server). I give up with trade, put it on AH for 499g and it sells the next day.

I made my third and got all the crap on trade again how I shouldnt sell it but for a few gold over mats.

I have not personally seen anyone else advertise this but I am sure with how Kara is ran nonstop on my server that there are others but I'm the only one readily making it available so in essence I have no competition.

To spend a day grinding mats (about 4 hours I recon) for a exclusive rare drop item am I right to get slapped by people who think I'm a rip off or am I not so bad to make something and sell it for whatever people will pay?

What is the norm price for selling something thats rare and not some dime a dozen scroll such as this or mongoose, etc? I've offered 50g plus their mats but nobody does it because of the complex ingredients to get to the final mats.

I've given up trying to save the AH fees by selling on trade channel as I just get nonstop hate from people whereas I get no hate from AH but pay the 25g+ cut.

Sell it for what people will pay (except for guildies, of course). If it sells for 499 with little problem, push it to 550. I'd keep bumping it up until it doesn't sell, then scale it back to the previous price point.

Don't worry about what the denizens of trade chat say. If they had it, they'd sell it for as much as possible too.

Thanks, you made me feel a little better =)

My third one just sold for 499g so in short they always sell before the AH time lapses so apparently people have to problems paying half a G for it.

The flack in trade has gone away with a new macro that states 450g with my mats or 50g + your mats and then I list the 120 adamantite ore, etc needed.

I'm even getting tells now from people saying they are either grinding mats or gold to get one from me.

I'm definately going to milk this for all its worth before some others get the scroll and the price wars begin and my 'rolling in the gold days' grind to a halt.

Once my 4th one sells tomorrow that makes 4 sold, or 2000g, within a week! Engineering finally pays off!
