I am a lvl 44 mage (alliance) and just took up mining to make more money because I still don't have enough to buy a mount. The focus of my game thus far has been questing, not really making money, so now I've switched my focus a bit. But, in trying to level my mining (now at 110), I can't seem to find tin veins anywhere. I've even searched on this site through the mining guides and other posts, but where it says to find them I still don't find very many. Copper seemed much easier, and still how I'm making the bulk of my money. How did other people level their mining quickly? I'm just curious to see how others did it.

As part of the Mining skill is Smelting skill, at the lower levels you can use that to improve your mining skill. Once you get to 125, your into the Iron range and can start mining those.
Although you need to train in the smelting arts to smelt, once you get to an ore nodes level you can start mining it. Eg if you were 124 mining and found say a silver node that got your skill to 125, and you then found an Iron node a moment later, you could mine the Iron node, no further training required.
You would need to train in Iron smelting though. After I think Gold, smelting will train as grey so you can no longer use smelting to increase Mining. Not sure of the level, but at some stage Smelting will no longer be able to help with mining skill ups.

One of the best spots I’ve found for tin are the hills behind Redridge. If you run past all the gnoll camps, as well as the two caves in the area, you’ll find a good amount of tin. This is especially good for higher level characters. The tin phase is one of the more frustrating phases of mining, but if you keep at it you’ll eventually get to mine iron and it becomes easier again.
I always found tin to be easy enough to get in barrens. The pools have some, and I was always guaranteed to find some along the mountains on the west side of the map.
Tin farming sucks. Go to Wetlands.
You can google Incendicite. It'll take you to 125, but it's pretty much worthless. Look it up, go to the cave that you'll find.

Agreed. These are easy to get, and will level your minig so you can move onto Iron. The cave in southern Wetlands (with all the spiders) has a bunch of these deposits. Plus, they respawn really fast.
Once you get into Iron - go run around the perimeter of Arathi Highlands. There is a bunch of Iron there.

Southwestern Arthai Highlands. This is one of the best places to mine Iron, tin and gold. IMO. I use that area all of the time. It is also a good place to grind off some exp killing level 32-27 trolls and ogres in the area.
I was duoing with my wife (she's the miner) yesterday. There was a lot of tin in Stonetalon ..

Check out www.mapwow.com. I use this alot. It looks like a google earth style setup, but you can click on ore, and other items in the right column, and they will pop up in the map. I am using it right now for my ore in Westfall. It is really cool.
getting something like Gatherer can also help you to remember where you've mined something in the past. I use it and like it.
