I have a 59 hunter with 400 gold farming for my epic mount
He has 300 skinning and 300 mining and the best way to get
money on my server is thorium....usually 25 gold a stack
Ive gotten plenty....but where is the best place to get lots
of it?

There are plenty of zones with it, do a search for thorium in the search for a full list.

The best ones I've found are Eastern Plaguelands and Burning Steppes.

at 59, why are you still at only 300 in both? Get your tailfeathers up to Hellfire Peninsula and get a bit of training. Purchase TBC if you don't have it yet.

I personally farmed thorium at Tanaris. It's a good place for mithril aswell.

I went through the same thing. EPL and Burning Steppes are definitely awesome places. Lots of Rich Thorium Veins.

Try one. If it doesn't yield well, then someone else is probably farming the same area. Move to the other zone.

On my server, I started in Un'goro (someone auggested that to me) - it sucked. Then, I went to EPL - it sucked. Then, I went to Burning Steppes, and it was awesome (ran loops, and never had to kill any mobs).

That was just on my server though, and the time I was farming (6-7AM game time). It will vary on your server.

Agreed on Burning Steppes - I usually get about 30-50 ore per hour just running around in circles. You also get a good chunk of mithril, dark iron, and the occasional chest or two. And since most of the mobs were made non-elite as of 2.3, it's fairly easy to avoid pulling mobs.

Cheers,
Jorge
