Netherfury gear--leatherworkingFollow

#1 Dec 17 2007 at 10:24 AM Rating: Good
I did not notice when I first looked these pieces up or when I bought the patterns, however both the patterns I own now say that they are "leatherworking 350".

This message is not exactly where I would think it would be...

Does this mean you need to be a leatherworker to get the set bonus (+20 intellect)?

i got the 3 clefthoof LW crafted tankin gears for my feral druid. she is not a LW.
I can wear them, but i do not get the set bonus (+20 str) because i am not a 350 LW myself.

i assume you are in the same boat....anyone can wear them, but only a LW will get the set bonus.

Yes, I would assume so. It's just like the post that I just replied to about the blacksmithing armor. If you scroll over the guy's set, it does say "Requires Blacksmithing (350)". So I am assuming that goes for any type of gear like that.

I am a leatherworker and I can make the Clefthoof set, Netherfury set, Felstalker set, and the Fel Leather set. All of them have a set bonus and I believe all of them also require 350 LW to get the bonus. This is why the sets rarely ever sell on AH (I ended up having what I had made DEed). Well, that and less than 2% of our population on my server consists of tanking druids or shamans.

I made the Fel Leather gloves for myself (I'm a rogue), and I've been making the Felstalker set for all the hunters in my guild, but the Netherfury and Clefthoof sets seem to have not been worth the gold for the patterns. This is probably due to the fact that the people who actually want the sets bad enough are probably leatherworkers and can make them themselves.

Ok. Thanks! I'm going to go ahead and make all the Netherfury at least once for the skill points and give them to my husband's shammy for him to grow into, might be useful to him. *shrugs*
