I play alliance on a PVP server so normally this item isn't available to an alliance player (because it is sold by a vendor in silvermoon).

Through the neutral AH in gadget I came into possesion of a Golden Dragonhawk hatchling (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=29953;source=live). The first thing I did was to check the value here of the item here and on thott, but then I realized that the info from those sites wasn't useful to discover this item's value because they combine both the price on the horde and the alliance AH. So my question to all of the savvy AHers / trade channel monitors out there is, how much would you sell this pet for? And would you list it on AH and wait or just sit on the trade channel for a while advertising it? Thanks for the help in advance :).

its hard to ask how much something is worth here because every server's market prices is completely different. What sells for 100g on one server might sell for 10g on another.

Do you have any hints at discovering what might be a good way to discover the price range on my server?

DragonHAWK, Cotechs, it's sold by a vendor. I assume by Rare Dragons you mean the Whelps, because Dragonhawks are not dragonlike at all xD

Considering that any Hordie can purchase one for 50S in Eversong, It would be unconscionable to sell it for more than 2G 50S at the neutral AH, or 5G on the Alliance AH.

I was bored one day and bought a prairie dog off the AH in Booty Bay for 5g. When I was in Stormwind I happened to scroll over the whistle and saw that they average 11g in the Alliance AH. Your best bet would be to just get auctioneer and see if it comes up with anything, although you would have very poor luck trying to turn a profit like that on a glamor pet.

I have two accounts.
Two friends could cooperate I suppose.

On my server; I have been selling golden, red and silver dragonhawk hatchlings for 2G/2G50S (auction/BO).

Another player has sold snakes and roaches for the same price.

Blue hatchlings sell for much more--3-8x.

The rational has been to give lower level players a chance at cool pets and break even for my time and bother.

I think you could get about twice as much, if on your server only a few players are shipping stuff across, with only an occasional AH sale out of BB, Gadget or Winterspring.

Good gaming
