Blacksmithing path for Enhance ShammyFollow

#1 Nov 13 2007 at 6:46 AM Rating: Decent
I have decided to level a shaman and was wondering what people think about blacksmithing as a profession and which way to go with it. The top end stuff is very good for both weapons and armor and I was just hoping for some feedback on what might be better as far as which one to choose, and if weaponsmith then which type of weaponsmith to go. Thanks.

I could be way off base, but I'm going to offer my two cents anyway.

For an elemental shammy I would recommend taking leatherworking and then specializing in Dragonscale Leatherworking over BS. The epic craftables in Dragonscale LW look like they're much better suited to a shammy than the BS equivalents. I'm thinking those are more for Pally's and Warriors, and sometimes Hunters.

The weapons you can make with BS are wicked nice though too.

I would say go through the list of items in each profesion on the left and see for yourself. If you think you'll be more into the weapons, then go BS, but as an elemental shammy, your weapon will probably be secondary to your spells (but not unimportant by any means). If you want better armor for your class, then consider the LW.

Either way, good luck and have fun!

He said enhance, not elemental...

Um most enh shamans I see with BS roll mace, but I have seen an axe before. So I would imagine mace is the way to go.

oops. I think I'll just shut up and read for the rest of the day. I'm obviously WAY to excited about the patch today.

Sorry for the blonde moment.
