Skinning really doesn't need a guide to lvl up. One of my alts got up to 300 at around lvl 40. Just make sure you loot and skin everything possible, especially if the kills are quest related. Big bags come in handy too!

has excellent info too.

To be able to skin a moderate to high-level mob, as you know, your skill must be at least 5 times the mob's level.

So for the level range 290-300, you'll be assured of having the mobs come up as orange (almost guaranteed skillup) if they are level 57-58.

So where can you find level 57-58 mobs? Hellfire Peninsula for one. I'll let you find other places yourself.

Outland mobs all have minimum skinning skill requirements of 300+ if memory serves - work the yetis and dragons in Wintersprings or the apes in Ungoro, basically, any mob that drops rugged leather should give you skill ups.

Winterspring is a good zone for skinners. You got Yetis, Dragonkin, and Bears for rugged leather and Chimmeras (sp?) and Frost Sabres for some specialty leathers for Leather Working.

it can be a pain to level skinning at times as the higher you get the more you have to skin to get a single point , take a look at the colour of the dead mob before you skin if its grey or green you need to find a higher level mob to skin even yellow i found was only giving me a point every 3 or 4 ? kills in the lower levels of winterspring i think level 300=level 60 every 5 points is another level you can skin

have fun and do as i do , if someone is killing and looting but not skinning follow them and skin the ones they leave , perhaps group with them to make life easier for both
