In my never ending quest for my epic flier I farm adamantite ore ( about 25 to 30g om my server) how ever i find this a slow process. Personally i stay in the trelleum mines in netherstorm and kill while i wait for ore respawns. just wondering if there is a better area. i hear nagrand but never seem to have alot of luck, maybe im looking in the wrong areas...

The central valley of Nagrand all around Halaa is usually good for a couple of nodes, as is the ogre hill to the northwest of the map (Warmaul Hill? something like that).

Skettis is also usually good for a few nodes, although I generally just do a circuit around the lake (close to the mountain wall) while I'm doing my dailies there. There's also 2 spawn points in each of the forge camps near Ogrila which I usually swing by while doing dailies as well.

Skettis is good for a few nodes but mostly they get picked up quickly by all the daily questers. I find more adamantite veins around the rest of Terrokar, on the paths leading away from the centre of the map and around the edge of the wastelands.

almost only fly around nagrand, starting from halaa do the canyon inc the caves, then up to the northeast ogre cave then south over the camp and finaly follow the zone south of the town and continue around the plains(with the whith rock) up to the lake and your back to halaa. with a bit of luck you can find 8-10 nodes on that route. unfortunatly its rarely without competition here but theres plenty for all :P

well let's see...someone who goes around mainly doing mining for 1 hour, killing only stuff that aggros them, versus someone who only mines when the spawns are up, the rest of the time killing stuff?

unless you're also satisfied with the stuff you're killing in the mines, if you're not focused on just ore, then you will find it slow to gain the ore.

it takes a few rounds around nagrand to learn some spots, because at first you may find there's nothing there. that's mostly because so many people farm the area, ie, it's a good place.

however, an area that is overfarmed isn't very productive, so when nagrand is like that, i like to use terrokar. the occasional fel iron and mote of fire (which becomes primal fire), that seems to come more often from fel iron than adamantite, adds to the overall fundraising.

The recommendations already mentioned have been very good.

I get most of my ore from Skettis and the BEM plateaus (at the Forge Camps), whilst doing my daily quests. As I am in the US and play on the EU servers, I don't normally have to worry about competition for nodes.

....ok, so, its not adaminate, but here is a good money maker with mining...with less competation,a nd all the same profit.
Thorium ore. they still need it for JC skill ups and BS and ENG....but hardly anyone goes to mine it anymore. stacks on MY server range from 20-30g.

Hit Ungoro a few times and see how that treats you. head to winterspring for some more....

if outlands seems over farmed, try thorium

Un'goro is pretty terrible for mining, imo. If you're farming Thorium, the best place is Eastern Plaguelands. Go to Light's Hope Chapel and head North.

I can get at least 4 times as much ore there as I can in the same amount of time in Un'goro. Winterspring is ok, but you have to go into caves without mounts to get to the best spawn points. You don't have to do this in Eastern Plaguelands.

Indeed, there are 5 or 6 rich thorium veins in EPL surrounded with normal ones.
In the crater directly south of chapel and the larger crater in the middle.
3 at those lvl 60 camps in the mountains.

When heading for those you'll stumble across more normal ones. And when your finished with those you can do a round through WPL and find some there (and some mithril) by the time you are finished there the thorium in EPL respawned.

BTW.. to be on topic:

I always fly from shattrath to skettis to do dailies, along the road (south terrokar) you'll find some nodes.

I find it an irritating occupation to just fly around for the nodes so i make sure i go somewhere to do whatever and take the path where i most likely find nodes. So when you dont find the nodes you are scanning for the time needed to fly is not a total waste.
