I just read over the PTR notes, and thought other here might find them interesting. As for me, the Fishing changes sound great!
Quote:
Fishing difficulty reduced for some areas in Nagrand.

Thank God. Since I never seem to get lucky in the fishing competition, this makes me happy.
And Daily Cooking Quests, yay!

Quote:
Professions
- You can now control-click on a recipe to see how the item that is made by that recipe will look on you in the dressing room.

Alchemy
Added a sound for when a cauldron is created.

Enchanting
Duration of wizard and mana oils created by enchanters has been increased.

Engineering
Engineers can now create incredible new flying machines! Find Niobe Whizzlespark in Shadowmoon Valley to learn these fantastic new plans.
Plans for a new Field Repair Bot are rumored to belong to a select few Gan'arg Analyzers in Blade's Edge Mountains.

Fishing
Fishermen and women can now track fishing nodes. This ability is learned from a journal sometimes found in crates obtained through fishing.
New fish can now be caught in Zul'Aman and Deadwind Pass. Recipes for preparing these new fish are obtained through the daily cooking quests.
Fishing difficulty reduced for some areas in Nagrand.

Herbalism
Picking herbs will no longer cause effects on items to trigger.

Greatly increased the radius of the Drums of Battle, Drums of Restoration, Drums of Speed, and Drums of War.
Removed the casting time from the Drums of Battle, Drums of Restoration, Drums of Speed, and Drums of War.
Slightly increased the radius of Drums of Panic.
Reduced the casting time of Drums of Panic and added a global cooldown equal to the casting time.
Drums of Speed and Drums of Restoration are no longer world drop recipes, and can now be obtained from the Mag'har and Kurenai faction vendors with revered standing.
A new recipe is available from Grand Master leatherworking trainers to create glove reinforcements, providing a substantial armor bonus.
Reinforcements are a permanent enchantment and cannot be placed with other permanent enchantments.
New recipes are available from Grand Master leatherworking trainers to make 20 slot quivers and ammo pouches.
New recipes are available from the Honor Hold, Thrallmar, and Lower City quartermasters to create 24 slot quivers and ammo pouches.

Nerfed even before it will be added. Makes it almost useless. Gratz to the Engineers, you are finally getting some nice rewards for your craft.

I’ve always felt that fishing in Outland was too difficult. I don’t mind having to use lures in certain out of the way locations, such as what we need to fish up crawdads. But it just seems to me that fishing in regular zone waters often require lures to keep fish from wiggling off the hook. So I’m glad to see at least some reduction in the require skill.

New one for Leatherworking:

A new recipe is available from Grand Master leatherworking trainers to make a 20 slot bag to hold leatherworking supplies.
The ogres in the barrier hills are rumored to have a pattern for a 24 slot bag to hold leatherworking supplies.

http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=1853.0

The mats are:

20 slot:
20 Knothide Leather
4 Fel Scales
4 Fel Hide
3 Rune Thread

and 24 slot:
15 Heavy Knothide Leather
5 Wind Scales
5 Fel Hide
5 Nether Dragonscales
5 Thick Clefthoof Leather
3 Rune Thread

That page also lists some more profession additions, including an Alchemist-only healing/mana(rejuvenation) potion; enchant shield-resilience and some other interesting things.

I thought this was always the case. Boots for example, you have to choose the armor kit, spurs or an enchant, you can't have more than one. Was there a glitch or something?

The leatherworking changes look particularly nice, making it a lot easier and less expensive to get to 375. Browsing wowhead it looks like none of the drums require primals anymore and they only require honored reputation with various factions.

Windhawk set, here I come.

If that’s the case I’m glad I didn’t push my dwarf hunter’s LW skill. I’ve been concentrating on other things on other characters. I was dreading trying to do all that faction work or having to craft such expensive items in order to cap his skill.

do you think all of the crafting changes will make it into the game. I am stuck at ~360 on a few professions.

I would expect them to do so unless Blizzard finds some kind of problem with them. Though they are certainly subject to change before and even after they go live. I plan to farm all the mats I need to make my engineering flying machine before the patch goes live. But I’m fully aware that those mats may well change.

Thank you Calabar, I wasn't sure how often Blizz nixxes the changes from PTR to the live version. I really dont like spending a 100g gold for one skillup at a time.

New quivers and ammo bags! Bang bang! This is looking like quite a nice patch for hunter kind.

Now this, I will be intrested to see. What I'll be more intrested to see is what kind of mats will be required. That could be quite hefty.
