wildvine pricesFollow

Now this may be just on my server (kel thuzad) but I noticed a few days ago that prices for wildvine have really sky rocketed. For just the 10 that I had in my bank, my little auctioneer mod said it was selling for a buyout of right around 10g. Now for all you 70's with big bank accounts 10g isn't that much but it did surprise me that wildvine was so expensive. Is it just because of the BC expansion because I could have sworn that before the expansion wildvine wasn't nearly as profitable for us herbalists

Prices for Wildvine have always been high. Mainly because there is a steady demand, but this herb drops and can't be picked so the supply is limited.

I don't know the current price on my server, but I think it is higher than 10G for a stack of 10. I remember selling them for a few gold a piece, and that was before BC.

According to Wowhead, Wildvine can be harvested from Purple Lotus plants, so it's not that it can only be found on mobs. It only has a 10% drop rate from Purple Lotus though and it only shows up in the higher lvl areas so that may have something to do with the high price.

Wildvine has sold for a gold each for as long as I can remember on the alliance side of Blackhand, and I’ve been playing the game since it hit the shelves. Like everything else, the price fluctuates, but a gold each is about average. I’m rather surprised BC hasn’t changed the price, as it has many other herb prices. But the last time I tried to sell some the price was about the same.

Same here, wv has been averaging 1g for my server for a long time.

It’s a good profitable loot item since it nearly always sells, especially as a single (so you don’t need a stack or multiple of 5).
