Mats for the Master Enchanter?Follow

#1 Oct 16 2007 at 6:35 AM Rating: Good
What mats do I need to bring with me in order to buy and level up all the recipes with the master enchanter in Uldaman? All the sites I looked up seem to differ in their answers and I would like to make it a one shot deal with her. My character is a 41 Dranei, so the trainer in Shat is not an option.

Check out the Mob page for Annora.
The following post will help YOU research the Mats you need to bring:

On a side note this information took me less than 2 minutes to find and repost, so in otherwords, it's not that hard; you just have to look.

thank you for your reply, however I have read that thread and it just added to my confusion. In that same thread, some listed the requirements as:

Quote:
figure on lots n lots of greater eternal essence and illusion dust
about 40-50 gtr eternal essence and 80 illusion dust
you'll change some the the grt to lesser

and the one you listed:

is outdated, since she has recipes up to 295 and these mats are for the old trainer which had recipes only to 250.

I am breaking down the mats needed for the recipes she has, however I do not know when these go from red to yellow, so it does hinder my judgement on what to bring by alot.

Edit:

Assuming each recipe will enable you to level up to the next recipe (an absolute terrible assumption), I will need to bring:

Lesser Nether Essence x20
Vision Dust x15
Greater Nether Essence x30
Dream Dust x40
Large radiant Shard x5
Thorium Bar x5
Lesser Eternal Essence x70
Heart of Fire x5
Core of Earth x5
Globe of Water x5
Breath of Wind x5
Inchor of Undeath x5
Illusion Dust x70
Greater Eternal Essence x35
Small Brilliant Shard x5

You are not going to be able to compile an exact count on the mats needed. Once a Formula goes yellow you are not guaranteed a skill up. Luck is gonna be a factor here, so once you come up with an approximate total; pad it by at least 10%.

You may end up with extra mats but you can resell them.

On another note, just because your are 41 doesn't eliminate Shat. Ask a Mage in your Guild for a port there and bind in an Inn. Or buy a port from a mage in the chat channel. If (and I'm not sure they will) the scryers don't like you and try to kill you, grab the FP from Shat and fly to Honor Hold and use that Trainer.

I brought my 50'ish friend to Shat and he automatically had the FP for Honor Hold.

At level 41, I suggest paying a mage or warlock to transport you to Shatt. A 5G fee is typical on my server. Then set your hearthstone with either the Aldor or Scryer tier. That will allow you to visit the master enchanter trainer as needed. Further, there are free portals to each of the major Alliance and Horde towns in the central building in Shatt. Making Shatt a very convenient hearthstone setting for anybody.

I'm Draenei, so I am automatically alligned with Aldor (can change later, but much later). I will try to get to Honor Hold though. If that doesnt work out, than I'll be farmimg alot of mats.

Thanks for the replies.

Ah, being Draenei complicates matters. I'm sorry I missed that detail earlier. You probably can't use the Scryer master enchanter in Shatt. You'll have to find a warlock to summon you to Honor Hold. Then grab the flight point there so you can go back and forth from your hearth in Shatt as necessary.

It appears the HH enchanting trainer requires level 275 for him to be useable. You apparently have to go to Annora in Uldaman to get past 225. This seems to be a drawback to being Dreanei. ;) If you're on Whisperwind, I'll give you an escort into Uldaman.
