I like the idea of this, Blizz could work a way to not let people make money. More like it is a way tricket that can repair a party until it runs out of mats. It would have levels, matching armor types. Use the bot for all that it can repair, for a charge. Then the Engineer has to "rebuild" the bot with mats like cloth and a level compatible part like a whirling bronze gizmo. When he reachs the next ENG level he gets the upgrade, and uses next mat and parts to get a level up bot. So no one gets free repairs, and you can tip the engineer for use of his tricket, and everyone is better off.

While I would love to see some of the things in those threads happen, I can't honestly say I think Blizzard is ever going to implement them. Specifically, I doubt we're ever going to get money from repairs one of our bots have done. Blizzard has never given any indication that they intended engineering to be a profitable profession. Sure, you CAN make money off it, but nowhere near the amounts you can with some of the other professions.

The one thing I'd like to see most happen to engineering would be the removal of the "Engineers only" requirement on most of the items we can craft. Seriously, why the hell do you need to be an engineer to wear a pair of goggles? It makes no sense!

I can see why Blizzard might want to restrict use of the bombs though. Imagine if you could hand out a few bombs to everyone in a battleground and tell them to start tossing. Giving the horde AoE permastuns would seriously hurt the 10 or so Alliance players in any given battlegroup who can actually work as a team. Of course, the Alliance could do that too...but let's face it, the Alliance blows in team PvP. If they can't understand the need to protect healers, what chance is there they'd ever be able to coordinate a bombing campaign?

I do remember reading somewhere that Blizzard is giving us an upgraded repair bot though...can't remember where or if it was just a rumour/daydream. And I'm really looking forward to the engineer mounts that are coming. Gogo gyroflcopter go!

Yes the Eng bot "upgrade" requires around 100g in mats and is not reusable. Guess who gonna use that bot?

have fun ;p

1 primal fire (25g), 3 khorium bars (18g), 24 fel iron bars (15g), 8 adam bars (20g), 6 primal earth (18g).

on the same idea of repairs, reading 2.3 notes: Guild banks. Guild members can put items in guild bank and withdraw like amounts in money to repair at any vendor. I will find link and post it later.
