Tailoring specialization - Dilemma!Follow

#1 Oct 10 2007 at 6:17 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a level 65 mage and have just levelled my Tailoring to 350 and must now choose between Mooncloth, Spellstrike and Shadoweave Tailoring.

I am currently deep Frost spec but have often thought about trying to master a Fire or a Arcane/Fire build.

If I start making my Shadoweave cloth and then decide to swap to Fire at 70 all my tailoring from 350 to 375 is lost and I will have to start from scratch making my Spellstrike cloth.

Anyone else in a similar situation? So should I wait till 70 and then decide what specialization to take and just farm the mats needed for both Spellstrike and Shadoweave?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You can change your tailoring specialization for 100 gold, I believe. You won't be able to wear your FSW set anymore, but your skill points will not be lost.

it's 150g to respecialize, and you lose no skill points.

specialize spellcloth. make spellstrike hood & pants. then decide if you want to make the spellfire or re-spec for FSW.

Ziggle,

I can confirm it costs 150g to change your spec. As the other poster said you won't lose your skill points by doing this. I was in a similar situation when deciding between Shadowcloth and Mooncloth. I chose Shadow, but I still make Mooncloth.

Remember you can still make the other types of cloth, you just get 1 vs 2. I decided it was worth the extra effort/gold to do the other 2 types because I can stockpile them in case I switch. Then you can also sell them, or trade them for more shadowcloth (or whatever your specialization ends up being). There's always people looking to trade these as they are not BoP.

That's my 2cents, hopefully it helps :)
