Some infos needed for LWFollow

#1 Oct 10 2007 at 5:56 AM Rating: Decent
Hi,

I have some questions:

My leatherworking skill is at 275. I see i can make some items that have "Random Enchant" in description. What does Random Enchant mean? I need an enchanter? do i choose the enchant? Worth to use the only Wildvine i have ?

That bring me to the second question: Wildvine...

Those thing seems to never drop. I got 1, and buy the other 3 i have. someone told me to talk to become herbalist, but i'm skinner (290) and LW. Can it be buy somewhere else than AH?

Thnks

Mostly it is a drop, but apparently it is for sale in Stormwind. If it is, I bet it is sold out pretty quickly. Your best bet is to look on AH or advertise that you need it on the Trade Channel.

Basically you'll be making items that have random stats on them. That's what the random enchantment means.

So you randomly make "Wild Leather Boots of Agility" for example, then the next item you make may come out as "Wild Leather Boots of the Boar", with stats differing for each.

It's random

So if i'm looking for Agi/Stam , I might have to do more than 1 try to have what i want? What a sucky prof. Woudl Enchanter be better as prof in that situation? Should i just never do Random Enchant items and wait more to have more specific items orient on Agi/stam?

thranathiril: for the wildvine sell in SW, i can't see who sell them. it say 1 seller have that, but i doubt. On wowhead, its not mentionning 1 seller, and the link you provide dont mention the name.

I noitced that as well. The only place that I can think of is a herbalist shop in The Canals.

It may take several combines to get an item with the right kind of stats you like. I belive the Wild series of armors is one of the few leatherworking items that work this way. In most cases, you will make the item and know exactly what the stats are going to be.

I remember making several shoulder items for my feral druid and ending up with a bunch of +INT stuff. That is discouraging when you consider wildvine is harder to come by thant he leather.

The best place I found for wildvine was the various troll mobs in The Hinterlands.

Thats exacly my case. I'm Feral druid, and would hate to get +int stuff. I could sell it, but no price enough for that hard collect Wildvine. Plus i take Wildvine as exemple, could be some other material.

Yeah actually its the "wild" items i was looking at. These are the ones Orange and yellow to me for LW skill. So if i want to raise it, i need to do those. Think i understand now the importance of having your main, and alt...

I'd gladly farm wildvines compared to all the clefthoof armor and primals I farmed to get to 375! :)

I'm actually looking towards the exalted drum patterns from Sha'tar and Thrallmar/HH. Does anybody have any experience with those? Does anybody know when they go yellow?

Aren't Wildvine dropped off the trolls in the Hinterlands? Might want to check that out.

As mentioned, trolls in hinterlands for wildvine. If you are a Feral Druid (read: I wish I had rolled rogue =P) Then go to Searing Gorge and talk to Sarah Tanner to take the elemental leatherworking specialization. You will get plenty of Agi/stam/crit/ap gear to make you happy. I think the Wild Leather patterns are just there for fun, I would surely not consider leveling off them.
