Tailoring HelpFollow

Hey everyone. I am a level 10 priest and fairly new to WoW. I have selected tailoring as my first profession. I just now got trained as a tailor and now I am really confused.. I cannot figure out how to make clothing, etc. I have learned how to create 5 items I believe. I understand that I need to make a bolt to make clothing but I cannot figure out how.. I have the 2 linen cloths needed (actually have around 30) and the coarse thread to make the simple pants.. How do you actually make the bolt and the clothing? Thanks

Open your spellbook to the first page. On there you will see a button for tailoring (could be the second page.) Click it. A box will appear showing what and how many of each you can make given the mats in your inventory. Click on what you want to make than click either "Create" (which makes the amount you set) or "Create All" (which makes the max available given your mat quantities.) Your inventory will fill up with new duds!

He was asking how to make bolts of cloth. So go to your tailoring menu and scroll all the way down and you'll see the bolt of linen and how many linen cloths you need to create them. At higher lvls, you'll need to convert the cloth you get into bolts to making tailoring items.

To save time, drag the Tailoring button from your spellbook onto one of you tool bars (I have a tool bar which has buttons for all my professions and skills), which makes it slightly quicker to open the Tailoring list.

As others have said, making a Bolt of Linen cloth will appears in the Tailoring list. ISTR that you need 3 pieces of linen cloth to make a bolt of linen. Once you have made several bolts of linen, you should have enough to proceed with making something out of linen cloth.

Further itmes can be learned, either from a tailoring trainer, or from 'Patterns' that you get as item drops, available for sale on the Auction House, or for sale at some vendors.

I'd recommend looking for a guide to increasing your profession skills in the most efficient wasy possible. Some items are more 'efficient' (use less raw materials) than others. This is what I use -

For tailoring, bags are your money-maker. Learn those skills as soon as you can afford to buy them from a trainer/vendor. You don't make a fortune from these and the competition from other tailors can be intense.
