Heard mixed feelings with being a transmute master, but it's good for an alt.
Personally I would try Elixir master for the chance to proc on flasks, but pot master can save yourself/guild/friends some cash on things they go through like candy.

I have an Alc alt on a server, but no Herbalist on that server....buying mats to make pots and flasks for him is expensive and doesn’t get much use.
But I X-mute with him every 23 hours. for him, X-mute master makes sense....he never crafts pots...or rarely...so an easy call.
My other Alc toon is also a herbalist. for him, it makes more sense to go either Elixir or Pot---has not yet picked. For him, I am leaning to the Elixir mastery since I don’t use many mana or health pots...but he does always have a battle and guardian elixir up. the elixir mastery makes sense for him.

Do you herb---yes---then stay away from X-mute master, and just X-mute when your cool down is ready.
since you herb, what do you make or use more often....mana/health pots, or buffing elixirs?
Do you Herb---No---then X-mute master is the way to go since you can farm primals without being an herbalist.

Go Transmute Master. I make around 40-50G each day with that 1 transmute, and more if it procs.
I never make pots, I just sell the herbs I collected and buy pots from AH. More profit, since prices of herbs are higher than prices of pots/elixers you can make with them.
(Prices may vary on other servers though.)

I do not know which transmute will net me so much but will learn it if same profit can be made on my server.

with zero time and effort i can buy primal earth for 2 or 3 gold each and x-mute into a primal water worth 20-22 gold, so best case, 20 gold profit for one click. no farming (ok, AH farming) and just waiting out the CD each day.
if you were to farm up all the mats for a Primal might X-mute or a gem x-mute, then you can make that kind of money on one x-mute...but you have also put in all the time to farm which is an opportunity cost.

Earthstorm Diamond.
Mats and average prices on my server:
2x Primal Water (20G each)
2x Primal Earth (4G each)
3x Deep Peridot (40s each)
3x Shadow Draenite (40s each)
3x Golden Draenite (40s each)
Total price of mats: 52G
Earthstorm Diamonds sell for 90-100G each.
Edit: I just buy the mats from AH, no farming required.
